Synopsis
On a tiny colony world named Carmine, young women known as Songstresses inherit the generation memories of those who came before them, using their knowledge to help a populace that suffers under the harsh policies of the ruling interplanetary league.

Newly reborn as a Songstress, 16-year-old Bellin Ajelli sets off a holy pilgrimage across the planet. Rumors of a possible terrorist attack result in Prince Truhallon of the militant Donau Empire being sent in to protect her, but his very presence is the antithesis of everything Bellin stands for. The two are as different as night and day, but they're stuck together until they reach the capital.

Highly doubt it. Five Star Stories only came because ADV likes movies and OVAs, and it was undubbed to boot. That one will won't see a US release of its BluRay either. And the Five Star Stories manga only has a partial release because Nagano himself was pushing for it to happen at all.

After watching the trailer, I have to say that this movie looks pretty interesting. I'll probably buy it if/when it makes its way to the US.

Looking good. I really hope this turns out to be an A-grade show. It's been awhile since there's been a really strong series to come out of this genre that didn't come from an established franchise.

Nice to finally see a trailer, I have kept my eye on this project since last year. Some of the animation looks a bit sketchy but other than that I really dig Mamoru Nagano's design and hopefully it will deliver an equally captivating story as Five Star Stories.

Is the database correct in saying Mamoru Nagano is pretty much working on this single-handed? It's always a good sign when the original creator is also the director ^^.

You know, I know people throw this around a lot, but the first thing I thought of when I saw this PV was early Miyazaki. It's his directorial debut, purely his own creation. Filled with such life and imagination. I think if this pulls through I'll title this guy "the next Miyazaki"

I get the feeling this is a movie(/OVA?) release.. Hopefully it's longer than Cencoroll's 30 minute run time
